Hajimemashite, from Paris !

I Discover Shakuhachi few years ago, earing Goro Yamaguchis'record, and it became my daily pratice. I am a professional musician, playing different kind of flutes, also lute and voice. I travelled a lot around the world in search of music and instruments, and am very much implicated in music-therapy (I am director of the CIM in Paris, International center of music-therapy.) I opened a site and blog on the theme of "Résonance", which became a little encyclopedia on the subject of the influence of sounds on body and psyche, and the differents traditions connected (Nada-Toga, Shamanism, Kabbalah, pythagorism, etc. I also wrote two books on this subject.
If you want to have a look, I have two pages about Shakuhachi

Welcome to the forum Bertrand! No need to apologize for your English. You may also post in French if you like we have many people here who have French as their primary language. Any language is OK.

Re: Hajimemashite, from Paris !

Bienvenue au Shakuhachi Forum Bertrand,

Don't worry about your English.
Your background sounds fascinating and a very good angle into shakuhachi - I find.
There are quite some shakuhachi activities in France.
There are teachers of shin-tozan school and also Yokoyama's school. Please have a look at the European Shakuhachi Society's website for mor information about shakuhachi in Europe:
www.shakuhachisociety.eu
We shoudl hopefully have a new website by the end of February...

Bon chance avec le shakuhachi aventure - c'est magnifique!
