Seattle Teacher

I just recieved my first Shakuhachi, have no musical backround, and I'm looking for a local teacher to assist with my journey.  Any assistance is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Anthony

Anthony,

Might help a bit if you gave a hint of your location...

Re: Seattle Teacher

Apparently the title of my message was not clear enough.  I'm looking for a teacher in the greater Seattle area.

Thanks so much,

Anthony

Re: Seattle Teacher

For starters, contact this fellow, Larry Tyrrell. He lives in Portland, but I'm pretty sure he comes up to Olympia regularly to teach.

Good player, good teacher.

Re: Seattle Teacher

Thanks so much!!!

I have sent email to Larry and had previously contacted Peter.

Any other names are more than welcome.

I have also ordered a number of books and video to assist in the meanwhile smile

Thanks again,

Anthony

Re: Seattle Teacher

Took my first lesson from Larry today - It was perfect timing as this was his ON week for Seattle, he comes up here every other week.

The lesson was excellent!

Thanks for the info!!!
