Yoshikazu Iwamoto

Does anyone know if Yoshikazu Iwamoto is still performing and/or teaching?

I stumbled on one of his discs the other day at Tower Records - Spirit of Silence - and it is truly amazing.

His bio of kumoso says he is in UK now.  Is this true?  Anyone have any contact with him?

Re: Yoshikazu Iwamoto

He disassociated himself from everybody he knew and disappeared from the face of the earth. Nobody knows where he is or what he's doing, but it's safe to say he's not performing or teaching.

Re: Yoshikazu Iwamoto

Yoshikazu Imamoto made The Spirit of Silence and two other superb cds at Radio France in Paris.  He went into studios there to make another recording but it was never completed.  This I heard from one of his closest deshi.  After that, he vanished, as Tairaku mentioned.

...and we're all the poorer for his disappearance. A singular player of great skill and sensitivity.
