No, it certainly doesn't! I don't know if it is that musical inspiration can transcend physical situations or just the sheer power of his personality. I suppose it was some combination of both. There was supposed to be one more session but Masa couldn't make it. At one point Osamu asked "Are we doing the right thing here?" Hiromi answered "Look at the smile on his face". The whole 14 years I was with him were filled with me hitting ever deeper levels of awareness of how heavy he was. I don't think I got it all yet.
To me this peace in particular was his death poem.

Thanks for the links. Ordered the CD instead the mp3s in hopes that it has liner notes.

On an entirely unrelated matter, I noticed that when I typed "Big respect to the Universal Flute)" into the previous post, the magical Shakuhachi BBQ website writes it as...
