edosan recommended you to me awhile back.   I sent you an email, but I guess it must have gotten lost some where between here and there.  Would you mind sending me an email with you rates?  I would greatly appreciate it! smile  Thanks!

Good idea! Perhaps we could make a skype section in the 'teachers and dojos' forum and all the skype teachers could post themselves.... Would that be an idea?

Yes "we" could so one of "we" should do that, preferably someone who likes the idea of Skype teaching. wink

Re: Skype lessons

I'm about to try and set up some Skype lessons with Jim Thompson; I'll be in new-daddy mode in a few months and won't be able to drive down to Santa Monica for lessons.  I think face to face lessons is nice work if you can get it, especially when starting out, but I've been plugging away for ...uh, how long has it been now? 2 years plus?...and Skype's gotta be better than nothin'.

Re: Skype lessons

...and Jim and I have done our pre-lesson test of Skype.  Yep, there's about a half-second delay that prevents duets, not to mention some frequency cancellation.  It definitely won't replace face to face lessons, but this will carry me through the sessile phase of my existence.  smile
