Banji

In Kurahashi Yodo's notation of Banji; the 3rd line from the end, second phrase, (half way down the page) is an indication to the right of Ri.  Four small characters.  Does anyone know what this says and what it means?  Any info would be helpful, thanks.

You'd get a lot more feedback if you posted a screenshot of that particular area of the sheet.

Re: Banji

and the four small characters say 'yawayawa'
I don't recall ever seeing 'yawayawa' before. Would it be a shortening of yawarakai e.g., soft? So a soft yuri?

Re: Banji

Why not ask Kurahashi sensei himself directly?

Re: Banji

Yes, 'yawayawa' is what I'm asking about, not the yuri.  I will ask Kurahashi Sensei when I see him later this month.  Just impatient, I guess.

Re: Banji

Looks more like yawayawa, which can mean very loose.

Re: Banji

Kurahashi-Sensei's reply:

"YAWAYAWA is a word of a delicate nuance.

It almost means SOFTLY and IRREGULARLY.

For example, we say that a balloon goes up to the sky cheerfully and then falls down yawayawa.

But I do not think this is a fixed rule. I think this is a taste of my father’s friend.

So I erased this word from my notation."
