Used Shakuhachi

As I learn more about all things Shakuhachi, I see there is a significant number of used flutes around.

Does a quality, well taken care of Shakuhachi last a life time? Are there obvious gotchas with used flutes?

Thanks,

Anthony

Re: Used Shakuhachi

Go and read this: http://www.reibo.org/oldshaks.html,

and this: http://www.reibo.org/retuning.html

And then look at the offerings here: http://www.reibo.org/shakuhachi4sale.html for an interesting brief education.

These links from the website of Peter Hill, player, teacher (shihan) and purveyor of select used shakuhachi.

It takes effort to attain nothingness.
And then what do you have?
Bupkes.
