Koka no Uta and Seiga

I am looking for shakuhachi scores to the following pieces:  These titles, while similar to others, are correct.Does anybody have these scores or no where I might look?

Re: Koka no Uta and Seiga

Koka no uta 胡笳の歌, 1975, Nomura Seiho 野村正峰, for koto (×2) and 1.6 shakuhachi.
Info here: http://www35.atwiki.jp/17gen/pages/353.html
Sheet music is published by Seigensha publishing (正絃社出版部). Looks like you can order direct, if laboriously, from here: http://suizan.main.jp/ebisu/order.html . Here too, but it might only be the koto notation? http://www.satogakki.com/Product/Produc … px?pid=376

Seiga: Maybe the piece 清雅 by Otsuki Somei 大月宗明, for shakuhachi, koto ×2, and jushichigen mentioned on this page?

In which case the Tozan notation would be available from "Maegawa" apparently.
Here's a place selling the koto notation at least:

Re: Koka no Uta and Seiga

Thank you Dun and No-sword for your helpful responses. Michael Firman was kind enough to send me the score for Koka no Uta. No-sword, I don't have the japanese language skills to read the kuribou page to order but I appreciate your efforts to help me.
               Thanks,

Use the translate-button (up-right), that makes a lot of Japanese understandable.

Re: Koka no Uta and Seiga

I few years ago I visited with Yoshinobu Taniguchi as part of one of Alcvin Ramos's tours. Taniguchi sensei played Koka for us from his arrangement for solo shakuhachi. He then gave an wonderful story about the piece. I have a recording of the performance I can share with you (but it is not appropriate to post it openly on the Web.) You could contact him or one of his students for a copy of this sheet music.

Yoshinobu Taniguchi's explanation of Koka: (transcript of translation)

"This song is about a bamboo flute that existed in the western part of China in the silk road. This was originally to be played with koto and shakuhachi but I rearranged it for shakuhachi.

"The myth behind this song: the "ko" from the Koka of this song describes a kingdom of old China in the north. In China the cultural flow was always from the north and the west down. There were lots of times when they were at war and one time the kingdom of Ko was at war with other Chinese kingdoms. During the night before what was going to be a big battle they could hear the bamboo flute from the Ko kingdom camp and the bamboo flute was very very beautiful.  When everybody heard that song the night before the battle they thought about their own mothers and fathers back in their homelands, and they just went home. This is written in Chinese history books. At that time the rulers of the Chinese kingdom told the people that when they were going out to war they should be careful not to hear the flute. This is in the history book. This song was written with that legend in mind."
