Koto and shakuhachi concert in New York

I would like to invite you to come and hear a fantastic musician in her only New York concert. Yoko Nishi will perform both modern and original music (including a piece of mine) for the koto, on Saturday the 11th at Tenri Cultural Institute. Nishi-san lives in Tokyo but has been in New York this fall as a visiting artist at Columbia University. Her technique is remarkable and she will play both regular koto and the 17-string bass koto. Even if you aren't sure whether or not you like koto or Japanese music, you can't help but be completely engaged in watching this wonderful musician perform. I will play three pieces on the program with her, Haru no Umi, Jyogen no Kyoku, and Duo No.1.

Here is the link for all the information.
