The Heron and the Geisha: A Life in Dance

Hi everyone. I post here from time to time and I thought I'd share some news about a documentary on classical Japanese dance that I made with my wife.

The Heron and the Geisha: A Life in Dance is screening in New York City at the Anthology Film Archives on January 26th at 6pm.

You can learn more about the doc here:

http://www.heronandgeisha.com/

More details about the screening here:

Thanks!

Sean-
Thanks for posting. I've got a workshop going that night. Bummed I can't make it. Will they show it again?

Hi Koh,
Thanks for your interest! Sorry you can't make it, but we will work on getting other screenings. We're hoping to get one at the Japan Society in the future, I'll keep you posted. We'll also be offering the movie for sale soon, so you can buy a download cheap, once we get it set up.

I look forward to meeting you once I move back to NYC!

Hey Sean, Looks awesome! I'm going to try to make it to the screening. I love seeing films at the Anthology Film Archives. I used to live around the corner.

I read your bio on the website. I also took classes at DCTV AND graduated from SFSU. Good luck bro!

Perry!
Thanks for the message. Noriko will be at the screening, she'd be happy to see you again. If any of you NYers can't make it, we'll arrange a private screening once we're back. Fun times ahead!
