Phil's thank you!

One year ago I almost died. I had a stroke in the car and was shipped, thanks to my wife, to Mayo clinic. I spent a  month there plus three weeks. I couldn't write, talk, make any sense. I played shakuhachi, There was no hurry -- the sound reached out through me. I had a deep realization of what sound WAS. Gradually I've learned to play even better than before, with a spiritual core.

I now teach. Teaching is very arduous, carefully choosing words, The language isn't quite there, but I feel the rhythm, the magic.

Oh yes, there was a child named Julian. He was born when I was three and a half months (the Mayo clique) and could hardly talk. Now he is an angel, and I definitely communicate with him. And thanks to my wife, Lara.

So now:

Thanks to the shakuhachi world for all the kindness and goodness! I feel as though I have been blessed by all the wonderful people here!!!

It's great to hear that you made it back from the brink and also to hear how the shakuhachi and its sound played a part in your recovery; welcome back to the forum.
