Riley Lee dinner/concert Oakland, California, november 3, 2006

Continuing my monthly series of preparing a 4 course gourmet vegetarian meal, followed by a solo performance of a world class musician....
This evening, we are joined by another amazing shakuhachi player, Riley Lee, visiting from Australia!! This past weekend we had an amazing evening of food and music with Yoshio Kurahashi performing shakuhachi. On October 14, Joelle Leandre will perform a solo concert on contrebasse.

Now taking reservations for Friday, Novembr 3
Dinner served at 8 pm, followed by Riley Lee's solo concert.
limited seating of 20 people and it will sell out very quickly.
$40

tentative menu:
Soup: Mushroom miso soup (maitake and enoki) w/ scallions, tofu
Salad : Carrot beet daikon salad with sesame dressing
Pickle: burdock with sesame, Szechuan peppercorn, sake, shoyu
Entrée: Pistachio crusted tempeh with shitake gravy w/ pureed, spiced butternut squash and dandelion greens w/ walnut miso dressing
Desert: pumpkin pie



all vegan and all organic ingredients! tofu, tempeh and miso will be homeade

is there a way to paste a photo in one of these posts? I have some photos of Yoshio Kurahashi's performance with some raspberry "cheese"cakes in the foreground from a few nights ago.
