Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Hi,

I would like you to know that this year there will be another great shakuhachi event in Prague this August. This will be already the fifth year that Prague hosts an international shakuhachi festival. Throughout all these years we gained experience with programing, scheduling and organisation, improved on the venues and, above all, maintained the highest standards in terms of the invited players. Their masterclasses, concerts and lectures have attracted shakuhachi students from Europe, North America and even Japan.
Although the festival's main focus is traditional spiritual music, we have always kept in mind its context in the contemporary music. As a result of which, we try to foster collaboration between shakuhachi players, composers and other artists and musicians.

This year, the festival will take place at the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (HAMU) - the Czech music academy and its very special guest will be Sakai Shodo, head of the Chikuho-ryu.
