howdy from MS

My name is Chas. Monaghan. I became fascinated with endblown flutes a little over a year ago ...particularly the quenacho and the shakuhachi.. I harvest local bamboo and make both flutes as often as possible.. I enjoy every part of the experience. The quenacho iseasy. Shakuhachi not so easy... I hope to continue improving.

Hi Chas, welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of shakuhachi making info on the flutemaking section.

I had a playing lesson with Koga sensei a month ago. He sounds even better in person wink

Re: howdy from MS

Thanks. Wow I'd love to meet somebody who plays shakuhachi for real.  I've learned a lot from your website and YouTube channel too.
