Aside from the shakuhachi, I'm an avid player of the irish flute and tin whistle. There is a great website called whistlethis.com in which players of all levels can post a low quality clip that can be critiqued. It's great fun and an excellent learning tool, not to mention a communtiy of some really passionate folks who put a lot of time into teaching. The forum there is quite like this one.
my suggestion is that maybe something like that could happen here. As an intermediate player, I'd really like to upload some minyo and honkyoku and hear what anyone would have to say about it.
You guys should check out whistlethis.com and see how cool the concept is. It could be a great thing for the world's shakuhachi community!
