Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

i currently play western classical music on a silver Trevor James flute. i am very interested in shakuhachi and really appreciate the music. however, my flute instructor does not know anything about them and cannot advise me on what is a better shakuhachi flute. can somebody give me advice? i am interested in some of the more traditional japanese flute music, and i understand that this makes a difference, but i do not understand how. advice is very welcome! feel free to email advice to hallido@hotmail.com as i do not know how often i will be able to log on.
