Zanshin

Nice short read I stumbled across.  I suppose it could be filed under "Zen" but I think it's very relevant to the spirit of honkyoku playing and maybe playing in general.  (And applicable, of course, to absolutely everything other activity worth doing...)

Interesting.

This article seems to say that just about everything is zanshin. 

My Budo master simply says, "it's awareness that does not leave." 

My Zen master simply says, "it's having mindfulness." 

My old D.I. would simply say, "TENCH HUT!"
