Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

It is with great sadness I announce the passing of Steve Shinraku Buchbinder after a fierce battle with cancer. Steve was a member of James Nyoraku Schlefer's Kyo Shin An Dojo. After many years of study James bestowed upon him a Jun Shihan teaching license and the name Shinraku (Music of the Heart). Steve was well loved among the members of our dojo. He was a dedicated shakuhachi player who donated countless hours of his time to the public by playing in various locations around Brooklyn. He became a fixture in the Park Slope area due to his shakuhachi practice. He passed peacefully in the company of family. Let's all blow "Tamuke" or any other memorial honkyoku in honor of this sweet soul.
