Hey everyone. I wrote a poem today upon the basis of Honkyoku. I felt I should share it here on the forum. If anyone else wants to share poetry , feel free.
A Multitude of serene colors
Expelled from the midst of a hollow bell
Not Seen, But heard
Not heard, But known
Yet they dissolve to oblivion in an instant
Leaving only 1 instance to be known.
chattering magpies in mountain pines
the sound of breath in bamboo
out of reach!
this sound comes easily to my flute.
How can a fellow get to heaven
With an arse like an anvil and a head like a Boeing 747
The Master asked "Does it make sense to you?"
The fool replied "I do, I do!".

breaking the pond's glaze
a coy's fleshy lips

Shakuhachi makes me hungry...
moreso than pastels...
moreso than food.
It's better than sex.
It's quicker than waiting for the lottery.
Less startling than thunder and less painful than lightning.
Shakuhachi is an earthquake...
fulmination of the soul...
murmurs of the heart.
Who was/is this Kerouac?
Roots of ancient oak
Spreading towards antipodean sky.
