stock needs

Hello All,
It's getting near harvesting season here in Kumamoto and I'm about to host Al Ramos' Shakuhachi Roots Pilgrimage group for the second year where, among other things,  we'll be doing some takehori.  I realize that I might be opening up a can of worms here, but if there are any in need of good stock, I may be able to help you out.  I can say right off that any more than two or three pieces/person would be very difficult, but if there is something specific you are looking for, I might be able to help you.  Drop me a mail off list and we can discuss your needs.
Jeff

It takes effort to attain nothingness.
And then what do you have?

Since were on worms, or bugs. A lot of bamboo harvesters dip the roots in old car oil to prevent worms or insects from eating the root. I make sure all traces of car oil is removed from my boo during the crafting of the flute. Heres a photo of an insect repair this week.  Old bamboo that have not had the oil treatment may eventually end up like this if it is left exposed:

I personally like fresh bamboo shoots myself, Szechuan style. smile
