Dear Shakuhachi Forum,
I'm very excited to be giving you the first pre-Shakuhachi Roots Pilgrimage update of 2007!
Unfortunately, I will not be going due to health issues. Next year! I'm very proud of the students who are going on their own this year. In addition to visiting several teachers and makers, and sightseeing, they will be doing an unprecedented 3 harvests of madake bamboo at three different locations throughout Japan! For those interested in coming next year please let me know as soon as possible as spaces will fill up quickly. 8 people maximum is the limit.

Thanks for the well wishes, Brian. I'm doing much better now. I'll be all mended up and ready to go again by next year. Some of the fellas sent me some photos and emails telling me how much they're enjoying the trip at the moment. I feel so happy for them....it's such an awesome trip.
