The kana of shakuhachi notation clarified by transposing it into Cyrillic!

Why didn't anyone think of this sooner?

Re: Russian Shakuhachi Site...

Hi guys,
I put this site together for Russian-speaking friends. This is not a translation of any books, but rather combined knowledge I got from books, teachers and friends.
I did use several bits of notation from Koga's book and a little manual which came with my shakuhachi Yuu. Also I used several pictures from Monty Levenson's site.

I put the description of Koga's book among other 14 books I studied, in the Books section
I placed a link to MusicON site from the page where I used their pictures
Also I got the permission from Monty to use his pictures, and I placed the link to his site.

I hope I did not violate any copyright laws. If I did please advise I will make corrections.

BTW, here's main entrance to the site
http://shaku-rus.com/
(music on the background - that was me improvising on my 1.9)

Eugene,
I don't know doodly about Russian, but it looks like quite a lot of interesting and useful information, perhaps you should do an English version, too.

I also love those old scores you chopped up and used for Choshi and Sashi. Any chance you could post those in their entirety, so I don't have to
drag out Photoshop to paste 'em back together? smile

Also enjoyed your playing.

Thank a lot Edosan,

I doubt I qualify to do a site in English yet, I pus some basics only. Besides, there are a lot of useful books and DVD's. However, still there is nothing in Russian, but there is a lot of interest. I asked Koga-sensei, and he was OK if I use his pictures for my web site.

I am not sure yet about posting scores on internet...

E.

Is this what he was trying for?: http://www.shaku-rus.com/Scores/Sa_score_full.jpg

I think it's going to be a while before I learn to read that!

Re: Russian Shakuhachi Site...

Hi, I 404 on these links too, http://www.shaku-rus.com/Scores/ shows a directory of the parts but no full scores.
Different caches?
Cheers
