Re: Teachers in France, French Belgium and Luxembourg

Veronique PIRON,  Shakuhachi,  Japanese Music,  Flute(s)

I am teaching Shakuhachi since 1996, in BRETAGNE (West part of France), in towns like RENNES (and West of it), NANTES, and have a few lessons in PARIS once a month.
As I already got some demands, I would be happy to start to teach Shakuhachi to people from the other francophone countries: BELGIUM and LUXEMBOURG, ...I am waiting for your contact.

My teaching is focused on: breathing, sound  /  traditional melodies (Minyo…) / traditional Honkyoku - Sankyoku  repertoire / and modern pieces.

I also offer workshops ("ateliers") on Japanese/Asiatic Music (traditional music, sound 音, ma 間, and improvisation), for almost any instrument and any level.
As I am a flute teacher some of those activities are included inside the State Music I am presently teaching the flute in ("Ecole de Musique Agreee du Pays de Broceliande, Ille et Vilaine"), "vous y etes les bienvenus".
I also play some Shinobue and Nohkan, but I do not teach them, sorry.

Study: in Japan with masters YOKOYAMA Katsuya and FURUYA Teruo, but started in France with IWAMOTO Yoshikazu (disciple of YOKOYAMA Katsuya) and began the instrument in 1992.
"Bagage": SHIHAN Menjyo ("Licence") from YOKOYAMA Katsuya in 2002
"DIPLOME d' ETAT d'Enseignement de la Musique Traditionnelle, Shakuhachi/Japon" in 2004
(French State Degree for Teaching Shakuhachi and Japanese Music)

You are welcome to meet me sometimes at the "Musee de la Musique / Cite de la Musique" in Paris, look at the schedule in my activity blog.
Bon vent!...

Re: Teachers in France, French Belgium and Luxembourg

Hello
The shakuhachi lessons in Brussels have started in september!
These are almost monthly lessons and the whole shape is consisting of an individual lesson and a collective lesson for all the participants, as a far as I can keep it.
We are planning to organise a week-end out of Brussels during the year too.
The lessons are both in French and English, there is already a group, and more students are welcome!
